The distinctive outline of the Burgenland national borders becomes the central idea of the design.

The outline dissolves and rotates about an imaginary axis. This rotation creates a solid oak body that defines the shape of the new architectural award, making the region that awards this architectural prize the central element of the design.

From the resulting sculpture, the non-buildable part, the proportion of water surfaces (approx. 7.0% i.e. approx. 26° in the floor plan of the rotating body) is cut out to make the basic idea, the outline of the Burgenland borders, even more recognizable in the architectural award.
